If you are looking for professional growth opportunities, women’s empowerment initiatives, or ways to support educational development in Lagos, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Victoria Island has announced its 2026 flagship projects.

Under the national theme AMPLIFY, JCI Victoria Island is targeting at least 100 direct beneficiaries through community-focused initiatives that bridge the gap between leadership development and real social impact.

JCI Victoria Island’s 2026 Flagship Projects

The organization will execute three major initiatives this operational year, offering platforms for networking, learning, and civic action:

  • 1. The Economic Outlook Conference: Providing critical economic awareness, financial insights, and market trends for young entrepreneurs and professionals navigating the 2026 economic landscape.
  • 2. The International Women’s Day (IWD) Conference: Promoting gender inclusion, women’s leadership, and advocacy to empower female professionals and creators across Lagos.
  • 3. The Adetola Akinola School Projects: Driving educational development and community service by upgrading local school resources and supporting students in underserved areas.

Driving Local Leadership and Civic Action

Announced at the first General Assembly in Lagos, this year’s agenda emphasizes proactive civic leadership. Rather than waiting on public infrastructure, the organization focuses on immediate community intervention.

“As much as we hold government accountable, we do not believe that everything has to be done by government. When we see a need, we take the lead,” stated Mrs. Adetola Akinola, Charter President of JCI Victoria Island.

Ms. Christiana Alao, President of JCI Victoria Island, called on corporate organizations, public institutions, and individuals to partner with the chamber to scale the impact of these projects. “As we embark on this journey, we must remember that leadership is not just a title but an action, and service is not a task but a responsibility,” Alao said.

How to Get Involved or Partner

Whether you are a young professional looking to attend the conferences, a corporate brand seeking CSR partnerships, or a volunteer wanting to support the Lagos school projects, JCI Victoria Island is actively opening doors for collaboration to amplify local social impact.
